The patient was a 4 year old boy presented with left flank pain. He had no other urinary symptoms and prenatal period was uneventful.
Ultrasonography revealed sever dilatation of the right kidney probably due to ureteropelvic junction obstruction and IVU was not diagnostic because of poor excretion of the kidney. MRU was compatible with the findings of ultrasonography but not diagnostic.
Then the patient underwent laparoscopic surgery. We contact huge renal cyst during the operation, then unroofing the cyst was performed and final pathology confirmed the diagnosis.
Cyst is oval or round by a single layer of flattened cuboidal epithelium filled with transudate fluid.Manifestation in utero is as early as 14 weekes in 0.09%of fetuses that 95% of them resolve spontanously before birth.Between birth and 18y incidence is 0.1% to o.45%(average o.22%).
